A $6B Wealth Management Firm is seeking a seasoned Controller to join their growing firm. The Controller will take ownership of the firm’s accounting and financial operations, overseeing reporting, reconciliations, cash flow, budgeting, expenses, and internal financial controls. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, with Controller or senior-level experience preferred. Wealth management experience is strongly preferred, along with strong analytical, organizational, and process-management skills.
6+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial services, or a related field, with experience in a Controller or senior accounting capacity preferred.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
Experience overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expense management, and month-end/year-end close processes.
Ability to develop and maintain accurate financial reports, forecasts, and internal financial controls.
Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven, with a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing wealth management environment and adapting to changing business needs.
Ability to partner closely with leadership and internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and accounting best practices.
Experience with QuickBooks, accounting software, financial reporting platforms, and Microsoft Excelpreferred.
Wealth management or financial services industry experience preferred, particularly experience supporting an RIA or advisor practice.
Proven ability to take ownership of the accounting function, identify process improvements, and build scalable financial infrastructure as the organization grows.
